- What this site is
- Ottawa Service Directory is a curated directory of home service businesses serving Ottawa, operated by Velogics, an Ottawa-based web design, local SEO, and custom software company serving home service businesses. Businesses are listed for free. No business pays for its listing or for its position, and neither is for sale.
- No endorsement or guarantee
- Listings, ratings, and review quotes are informational. They come from public sources and are dated where shown, and they can change after we last checked. A listing is not a guarantee of quality, licensing, or insurance. Confirm licensing, insurance, and current reviews directly with any business before you hire.
- Operator disclosure
- Some businesses listed here are clients of Velogics, the studio that operates this directory, for website and SEO work. That relationship gives them no advantage on this site: their displayed ratings come from the named public source, and their placement follows the same published methodology as everyone else. More on how ranking works is on the about page.
- Using our forms
- Our forms exist to reach businesses, request a listing, or claim one. Do not use them to send spam, solicitations, or abusive content, and do not submit information about someone else without their permission. We may decline or discard submissions that misuse the forms.
- Corrections and removal
- Any business can ask us to correct its information, replace a photo, or remove its listing entirely. Requests from a verifiable owner are honoured quickly, usually the same day. Use the contact form or the claim link on the listing.
- Limitation of liability
- We provide the directory as-is. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a business you find here, and we are not liable for the work, conduct, or claims of listed businesses. Your relationship is with the business you hire.
- Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
